In order to further the progress on climate preservation, Samsung has teamed up with the Cardano-powered Veritree Team.
The tech giant has joined forces with Veritree to fight the hazardous consequences of climate change. Per Samsung’s blog post, a designated project is being launched by Samsung Electronics America to fulfill its CSR duties and contribute to a healthier Earth.
Samsung aims to facilitate the planting, growth, and conservation of more than 2 million trees in Madagascar. The target of this deliverable is set by the end of the 1st quarter of 2022.
Veritree, the platform which aims to transform blockchain into a climate preservation technology is the perfect match for these plans to be carried out seamlessly. In relation to the project, Samsung representative Mark Newton argued that “investing in tech innovations, such as those that create efficiency improvements and minimize waste, in combination with nature-based solutions, are vital in the fight against climate change.”
Veritree is a new and innovative platform which through on-the-ground data capture and blockchain technology aims to provide eco-friendly alternatives without halting the operationality and convenience of blockchain.
Wow! @Samsung 's land restoration efforts – 2 million trees to ben planted this quarter, done by our great friends at @veritree, will live on our blockchain!
