Yuga Labs, the founder of the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) non-fungible token (NFT) collection, and as of recently the native token ApeCoin (APE), took to Twitter to showcase the very first teaser of the launch of the newest metaverse dubbed the Otherside which users can expect to see in April 2022.
In the trailer, a Bored Ape is fishing in a swamp and discovers a potion. The trailer lasts for a total of 90 seconds. The Bored Ape then chugs down the potion which causes a volcanic eruption and the Bored Ape is taken away in the Otherside, an alternate world.

Many classic NFTs can be seen traveling on a future submarine/spaceship towards the ending of this teaser. The following NFT collections are showcased in Yuga Labs’ Otherside ad: CryptoPunks, Cool Cats, CrypToadz, Meebits, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, Nouns, and World of Women.
The teaser did not include any in-game showcasing of the Otherside metaverse. While the tweet said that the Otherside metaverse will be powered by @ApeCoin, the creators did not disclose whether the metaverse will enable playing for its users.
Animoca Brands assisting Yuga Labs with the development of their future metaverse is not exactly an unknown fact. Yat Siu, the co-founder of Animoca Brands, is an ApeCoin (APE) Foundation member.
Otherside is rumored to be integrating with The Sandbox metaverse, which is owned by Animoca Brands. Yuga Labs and Animoca Brands, on the other hand, have to disclose the details on the functionality of the Otherside metaverse.
