Adidas Endorses BAYC by Setting its NFT as Twitter Display

Indigo Herz is the name of the newest Adidas NFT purchased by Bored Ape Yacht Club.

After weeks of toying with initiatives in the non-fungible token (NFT) space, Adidas, one of the world’s most well-known clothing brands, has gone into the market in style by purchasing a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT and securing a number of agreements.

Adidas has unveiled its newest NFT, which was discovered to be Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT #8774, which it has dubbed Indigo Herz and can be seen wearing Adidas clothing. A video teaser of the partnership between Yuga Labs, the designer of Bored Apes NFT, and the top clothing company rounded up the announcement.

Aside from Yuga Labs, the company is collaborating with other NFT-related projects like  Gmoney, a well-known NFT collector, and Punk Comics, a CryptoPunks derivative NFT project.

The movie clip depicts the collaboration and its various partners as 3D avatars associated with Gmoney, as well as an original Punks Comic character and its newly acquired Bored Ape NFT, accessing a virtual environment emblazoned with the logo of Adidas.

In a Twitter Spaces conversation about the cooperation, an Adidas spokesperson said that the planning for the project lasted 5 months. The Punks Comic team stated that Adidas’ Indigo Herz will be featured in the upcoming issue of the NFT comic.

Among the most wanted NFT projects in the sector is the Bored Ape Yacht Club. The NFTs are a group of 10,000 one-of-a-kind avatars that have sold for millions of dollars. Since its introduction in 2021, BAYC has brought in over $1 billion in sales, as per CryptoSlam.

The NFT project is unique in that it grants its owners commercial rights to their avatars, allowing them to produce and sell spinoff ventures, actual objects, and other items.

This might explain why the idea has received support from stars such as Post Malone, Dj Khaled, and Timbaland, as well as institutional investors such as Adidas now, and Universal Music Group earlier.
