List of Bored Apes – Who Owns a Bored Ape?

Before 2021, the non-fungible token (NFT) space was basically dead. There was a very low volume and nobody knew about it. In 2021, this space experienced tremendous growth, resulting in some NFTs selling for millions of dollars. Although this sector of the cryptocurrency market still has very low exposure, it has attracted billions of dollars. Moreover, companies such as Facebook, Nike, Samsung, and tens of others are joining this space. This marks the beginning of a new era for the cryptocurrency market quite literally.

The Bored Apes Yacht Club (BAYC) is one of the most famous NFT collections in the Ethereum blockchain right now. The only competitor for this collection is the CryptoPunks collection. Currently, the CryptoPunks collection has been traded the most. However, CryptoPunks was the first collection of its kind. In a literal sense, the CryptoPunks collection shaped the NFT space that we see today. This collection is the inspiration behind the ERC-721 token standard that every Ethereum-based NFT uses today.

Although the CryptoPunks are the OGs of the NFT space, BAYC has been getting all the attention recently – they even flipped the CryptoPunks floor price. This collection received a warm welcome to the market immediately after its debut in April 2021. Today, hundreds of celebrities and influencers own at least one Bored Ape. We must note that the Bored Ape Yacht Club has a fixed supply of 10,000 Bored Apes, making them extremely scarce.

Celebrities Who Own a Bored Ape

As mentioned before, there are several celebrities that own at least one Bored Ape. The list is very long, however, some of the most famous ones are Stephen Curry, Eminem, Jimmy Fallon, Future, Steve Aoki, Lil Baby, Logan Paul, Post Malone, and Gary Vaynerchuk.

Future’s Bored Ape

The well-known hip-hop artist known as Future got in the NFT space some months ago. On the 28th of November 2021, Future informed his Twitter followers that he is the new owner of Bored Ape #4672. According to OpenSea, Future paid Ξ48.88 (Ξ stands for Ethereum) for his Bored Ape. At the time of the transaction, that amount of ETH was worth around $215,000.

Jimmy Fallon’s Bored Ape

On the 12th of November 2021, Jimmy Fallon, the famous American comedian, and TV show host joined the Bored Ape Yacht Club. Similar to Future and most other celebrities, the hype around this collection was the main incentive behind his decision. According to OpenSea, Fallon paid Ξ46.60 for Bored Ape #599. At the time of writing, he has an offer to sell his Bored Ape for Ξ81.79, however, it is uncertain whether he will accept it.

Stephen Curry’s Bored Ape

Stephen Curry is another celebrity that is part of the Bored Ape Yacht Club. He is a professional basketball player who plays for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA. Unlike Future and Fallon, Steph Curry acquired his Bored Ape during the summer of 2021 – on the 28th of August to be more precise. He bought Bored Ape #7990 for Ξ55, according to Ethscan.

Eminem’s Bored Ape

Some might argue that NFTs are only for the new generations. While this does not come as a surprise considering the backlash that this technology is facing because of the older generations, it is not necessarily true. Several celebrities that are in their mid-40s are part of the NFT space. One of them is Eminem – one of the greatest hip-hop artists of his time. He currently owns Bored Ape #9055 which he got for Ξ123.

Lil Baby’s Bored Ape

Lil Baby is another hip-hop artist that is part of the Bored Ape community. Similar to most of the above-mentioned celebs, Lil Baby became part of this community during the second half of 2021. However, what makes Lil Baby stand out is the fact that he is one of the few celebs that mutated their apes. To achieve a Mutant Ape, you need Serum – a digital collectible that is bought with ETH – and a Bored Ape. On the 3rd of November, Lil Baby got Mutant Ape #10259. Reportedly, the rapper also owns Bored Ape #129.

Steve Aoki’s Bored Ape

Steve Aoki is one of the few known DJs that own a Bored Ape… actually, he owns many Bored Apes. Aoki has 9 Bored Apes and 2 Mutant Apes. This makes him an NFT whale. Yet, these are only the official Aoki-owned Bored Apes and nobody can know if he has more in other wallets. He owns Bored Ape #1867, #9394, #3719, #9050, #4190, #8716, #5823, #8398, and Mutant Ape #17438 and #17439. You can find all of his Bores Apes on his official OpenSea account @SteveAoki.

KSI’s Bored Ape

One of the biggest Youtubers at the moment, KSI, is also part of the Bored Ape Yacht Club. He became a part of this community back in August 2021. According to Boardroom, KSI currently owns Bored Ape #2488 and #8827. The amount KSI paid for Bored Ape #8827 is still unknown. When it comes to Bored Ape #2488, this NFT is currently worth Ξ942.69.

Post Malone’s Bored Ape

Another celebrity from the music industry that is part of the Bored Ape Yacht Club is Post Malone. This multiple award-winning artist bought two Bored Apes some time ago. Currently, he owns Bored Ape #961 and Bored Ape #9039. According to OpenSea, both of these Bored Apes cost him Ξ160. At the time of writing, none of his Bored Apes are up for sale.

Logan Paul’s Bored Ape

Logan Paul is yet another very famous Youtuber who is part of the Bored Ape Yacht Club. Similar to Malone, Paul currently owns only two Bored Apes. However, though, there is a lot of controversy on whether he actually owns both of them. This is because two different wallets own these Bored Apes – @logz owns Bored Ape #1442 while @Skidbladnir_Freight owns Bored Ape #207.

Gary Vaynerchuk’s Bored Ape

He bought his first-ever Bored Ape back in June 2021. His official OpenSea account is @GaryVee. Furthermore, GaryVee has been active in the cryptocurrency space for years now.
