Keanu Reeves Apparently HODLing Onto Several Cryptocurrencies

In a recent interview, Keanu Reeves admitted to being a HODLer of some cryptocurrencies. Although this interview was about The Matrix Resurrections movie, Keanu Reeves also discussed the cryptocurrency space, including NFTs and the metaverse.

As the interview progresses, the interviewer asks Keanu Reeves about his opinion on cryptocurrencies and his crypto portfolio. He answers by claiming that one of his friends bought some crypto for him some time ago. Moreover, he goes on to say that he never touched his holdings because there was no need to.

The interviewer then explains to Keanu Reeves that not touching your crypto means you are HODLing them. Reeves went on to say that he apparently “has a little HODL”… which is funny if you are familiar with the crypto space. Although it is not clear which cryptocurrencies Keanu Reeves is holding onto, it is almost certain that he has been a part of this space for some time.

Keanu Reeves Skeptical About NFTs

Following the launch of The Matrix Resurrections movie, Warner Bros. Pictures went on to launch a collection of 100,000 Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). This launch served as a promotion for the long-awaited movie.

This NFT collection was made up of different Matrix-themed characters which had an initial price of $50 per token. To make this even more interesting, every holder of this collection had to choose between taking a red pill or a blue pill – and we hope you know the reference.

The concept behind NFTs is considered innovative by most people – but not by Keanu Reeves. Although not directly, Reeves’s words implied that he is skeptical about NFTs. During the interview, Keanu Reeves laughed at the interviewer when asked about the digital scarcity of NFTs. Furthermore, he joked about the ease of reproduction of these so-called digitally scarce NFTs.
