For Victims of the Swap Hack, BitKeep has Unveiled a Redemption Page

With this change, Bitkeep hopes to improve services and boost security in the cryptocurrency industry.

A website for redemption has been launched by Bitkeep, a popular multi-chain cryptocurrency wallet, for those who have recently been exploited. The project published the update on its blog on October 21.

In the past, the protocol had pledged to make amends for each victim of hacking. By using its novel redemption website, Bitkeep plans to determine the USDT redemption agreed sum on the selling price of the exploiter.

The crypto wallet company claims to have already produced a victim list using on-chain records from that time. As previously stated, victims who file claims will get redemption within 24 hours. It exhorts people to help find the hacker and get their losses back in the interim.

Every attack victim will also receive an in-app notice from the DeFi protocol encouraging them to change to the wallet that was lost, verify their conversations, and press “View Details” to go to the site and claim the funds.

Additionally, BitKeep collaborated on a security update with renowned blockchain security companies SlowMist and Cobo. With this change, Bitkeep hopes to improve services and boost security in the cryptocurrency industry.

Many users on BNB Chain and Polygon lost assets as a consequence of the Bitkeep wallet attack that occurred early in the week. According to allegations from Peckshield, the attack cost over $1 million.

The hack on the BNB chain was initiated as a result of the hacker’s penetration of the crypto wallet’s swap function, per the wallet protocol. Bitkeep temporarily stopped its swap services to limit the harm. The protocol thought that its choice would stop such an exploit from happening again. The Bitkeep team said that it is collaborating with law enforcement to apprehend the culprit.

The biggest Web3.0 multi-chain cryptocurrency wallet in Asia at the moment is BitKeep. With the top 30 mainnets in the world, namely BNB Chain, Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon, it has recently formed a number of strategic alliances.
