A luxury rehab facility in Spain has expanded its services to include therapies for treating crypto trading addiction, which is a relatively new type of addiction.

The Balance is a wellness center that was established in Switzerland. Its primary location is on the Spanish island of Mallorca, which also has outposts in London and Zurich.

According to a BBC article, the facility has long treated addictions like those to narcotics, alcohol, and mental health but has just lately started providing treatments to help those who are addicted to cryptocurrency trading.

According to the Feb. 5 report, one of the center’s clients contacted them in order to “wean off cryptocurrency” after apparently making $200,000 worth of trades every week.

A four-week stay is required for the treatment, which also includes yoga, massages, and counseling. The cost may exceed $75,000 in total.

Over 100 patients with “serious” cryptocurrency issues have visited Castle Craig Hospital, a Scottish addiction treatment center that has been treating high-adrenaline crypto traders since 2018.

In Asia, Diamond Rehabilitation, a wellness facility with a Thailand basis that has been in operation since 2019, has also expanded its Bitcoin addiction rehab and treatment services.

The group said that as part of its thorough, multi-stage strategy to helping traders overcome their addiction, it uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Psychodynamic Theory (PT) in rehab.

The euphoric highs and devastating lows of the fast-paced, round-the-clock cryptocurrency trading market are said to have increased demand for treatment facilities that provide treatments for trading addicts.

According to data on gambling disorders, 10% of cryptocurrency traders will face issues other than financial loss, according to a Family Addiction Specialist article. About 1% of cryptocurrency traders will acquire a serious pathological addiction.

According to Family Addiction Specialist, signs of this addiction include often checking internet pricing, especially late at night.
