Two Kosovans accused of crypto fraud will serve one month in custody until the court decides their final sentence. The two Kosovans, with the initials R.S. and F.C., have allegedly been running a fraudulent crypto scheme since 2020 until today. F.C. is a 33-year-old male while R.S. is a 21-year-old female. Both are citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
According to the court’s statement, these two individuals are part of a bigger group of scammers. Until today, they have constantly found new people to manipulate, and since most people don’t have a clear understanding of what cryptocurrencies are, they were easy to fool. All the victims had one goal in common – getting rich fast.
Over the past two years, R.S. and F.C. have generated more than €500,000 through crypto fraud. The authorities in Kosovo also stated that the exact amount of money stolen could be higher. Basically, the scammers convinced the victims to invest their money through them, promising them that they will generate huge profits for them.
According to the authorities, the number of individuals that fell prey to this scam could be higher than reported. Moreover, they believe that there is a ring of crypto scammers operating in unity within the borders of Kosovo.
