The client, from Saudi Arabia, paid for the 2021 Mercedes-Benz S580 with Ethereum (ETH) at the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family.

Ethereum (ETH), the second-biggest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, has been received as payment in the first cryptocurrency-based car sale deal at Jeff Wyler Automotive Family. The client, from Saudi Arabia, paid for the 2021 Mercedes-Benz S580 with Ethereum (ETH).

The Milford-based auto company, which traces all the way back to 1973, executed its first cryptocurrency-based automobile sales agreement at its Mercedes-Benz of Fort Mitchell shop, selling a Certified Pre-Owned 2021 Mercedes-Benz S580 to a Saudi Arabian buyer.

At the time being, the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family supports payments through 12 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC) in all of the 23 dealerships situated in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. Clients will have the option of paying their transaction partially or fully through a single cryptocurrency or a combination of the 12 options. Crypto and cash payments are accepted as well.

Apart from other applications, Ethereum (ETH) is rapidly emerging as one of the most popular cryptocurrencies for real estate purchases. Pacaso, a real estate company, now accepts cryptocurrency for second home acquisitions, making it the first marketplace of this kind to do so.

The adoption of cryptocurrency as a form of payment is increasing, as there are already various companies that allow users to actually use their cryptocurrencies. Companies accepting bitcoins via BitPay include Newegg, SlingTV, Twitch, Jomashop, APMEX, the American Cancer Society, Namecheap, and the Dallas Mavericks.

Particularly, the Mavericks became the first sports team in the major leagues to adopt cryptocurrencies. The Sacramento Kings of the NBA and the Carolina Hurricanes of the NHL are two additional sports teams that take cryptocurrency via BitPay. Porsche Towson, the only private Porsche facility in Baltimore, has collaborated with BitPay to support a variety of digital assets, including Shiba Inu (SHIB).
