HTX, Bitget Pledge Trading Fees to Slerf Post-$10M Event

HTX, Bitget Pledge Trading Fees to Slerf Post-$10M Event

Leading cryptocurrency exchanges HTX, Bitget, and BingX have pledged to support the Slerf token community. This decision comes after an unfortunate event where a developer mistakenly destroyed $10 million worth of the token. These platforms plan to contribute trading fee proceeds from Slerf transactions to aid those affected by this mishap.

HTX, previously known as Huobi, took the lead in this initiative. Crypto influencer Justin Sun declared HTX’s intention to contribute trading fees from the private sale of Slerf tokens on their platform. Additionally, HTX promises to offer some of its own tokens to support Slerf’s trading fee mining, enhancing the token’s trading ecosystem.

Bitget and BingX Join the Cause

Following suit, Bitget’s Managing Director, Gracy Chen, announced their plan to donate all Slerf trading fees back to the token’s community. This gesture aims to mitigate the financial losses of those who participated in the presale. Bitget commits to weekly updates on this donation process, maintaining transparency with its users.

BingX, based in Singapore, also expressed its intention to contribute by donating trading fees from SLERF spot transactions. The platform plans to further support affected investors by airdropping future BingX World Debut tokens to those who missed out on receiving SLERF tokens during the private sale.

The philanthropic wave reached LBank as well, which decided to support the Slerf initiative as the meme coin’s market value climbed to $612 million, ranking it as the eighth largest meme coin. In contrast, MEXC, one of the first exchanges to list SLERF, has yet to announce any donation plans.

This collective move by the crypto exchanges follows the accidental burning of $10 million in SOL tokens by Slerf’s developer, a blunder that significantly impacted presale investors. Despite this setback, the token saw an impressive rally, with its value skyrocketing by more than 5,000%, momentarily breaching the $1 threshold.
