Google Trends Shows Increasing Interest in ChatGPT

Searches for ChatGPT on Google have been on the rise as interest in AI continues to pile up.

ChatGPT is a software that generates human-like responses on almost every topic. Those responses include articles, plans, stories, coding, and much more.

ChatGPT bases its responses on an extensive amount of data from the internet. That data includes information from a variety of sources, such as books, articles, websites, and more.

The shortcoming is that the knowledge cutoff for ChatGPT is 2021. This means that it was last trained on new data that was available up to 2021. Hence, it may not include information that has been published or changed after that date. Therefore, keep in mind that some of the information it has might be out of date or inaccurate.

It is no wonder that ChatGPT is gaining traction given its huge utility even with its limitations. Almost everyone in the tech industry is talking about ChatGPT, and it is just a matter of time before it becomes a daily tool for various industries.

Searches on ChatGPT Surpass Searches for Bitcoin

With interest in AI booming on one hand, interest in financial markets is slightly declining on the other. On that note, search terms such as “crypto” and “Bitcoin” have declined in recent months, primarily because of the current bear market. While the price of BTC has recently increased in the last few days, interest on BTC is relatively low when compared to the bull market of 2021.

In the graph below, you can see the searches for both ChatGPT and Bitcoin. Results on Google Search Trends actually show that searches for “ChatGPT” surpassed searches for “Bitcoin.”

On a similar note, searches for “OpenAI,” the company behind ChatGPT, temporarily surpassed searches for “crypto.” While this comparison is quite irrelevant given that they are two distinct industries, it clearly shows the magnitude of interest regarding AI and more specifically ChatGPT.

It will be interesting to see how AI tools like ChatGPT can influence financial markets, especially cryptocurrencies. That is because ChatGPT can also write smart contracts as long as you provide the necessary information regarding the features that you want on your project.
