Chief Executive Officer of Binance, known as “CZ,” Changpeng Zhao, met with Turkish officials to address problems affecting the crypto industry.

This, is in an effort to enhance the influence of Binance, the largest exchange in the world by trading volume, in Turkey as well.

Minister of Treasury and Finance for Turkey, Dr. Nureddin NEBAT, one of the important figures present during the conference, stated: “We had a virtual meeting with Mr. Changpeng Zhao, the founder of Binance. Mr. @cz_binance and I had discussions on the blockchain ecosystem and crypto asset.”

Even though the specifics of the discussion were not made public, there have been rumors on crypto Twitter that a significant project may be in the works between the trading platform and the Turkish government.

Binance came under attack for conducting business illegally in a number of jurisdictions over a year ago. It decided to pursue a more healthy relationship with authorities generally after having its license withdrawn. Binance has received great levels of support from regulators over the last year due to its dedication to closing the gaps in its interactions with them.

CZ has met with a lot of government representatives in France, Dubai, and even Kazakhstan as part of his international campaign to win over regulators. In addition to meeting with Kazakhstani authorities, CZ also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as the two sides worked to promote digital transformation and education in Kazakhstan.

As a result of Binance’s efforts, operational licenses have been granted in several important countries, including Italy, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Spain, and Bahrain. The trading platform has reaffirmed its commitment to seeing that countries put in place effective regulators that can support the industry’s overall expansion.

The discussion with the Turkish Minister is another instance of how the trading platform is dominating its sector.
