CoinMarketCap Has Allegedly Been Hacked

Today, on the 14th of December, CoinMarketCap experienced a huge “error”. This has happened several times during the year, however, this time was something different. Every cryptocurrency and token in the market apparently skyrocketed.

According to CoinMarketCap charts, the cryptocurrency market just hit a capitalization of $692.7 Quintillion. To give you a better idea of how big that number is, the cryptocurrency market capitalization looks something like this $692,711,724,000,000,000,000.

If this were to be true, Bitcoin would be trading at $889 billion per coin; Ethereum would be trading at $525 billion per coin; USD Tether would not be $1 anymore.
