CMC Accused of Listing 3 Fake and Unsafe Contract Addresses by SHIB

The official Twitter account of Shiba Inu (SHIB) tweeted that there are three fake Shiba Inu (SHIB) token contracts listed on CoinMarketCap – CMC.

The team of Shiba Inu (SHIB) wasted no time as they took to Twitter to warn its users of the 3 fake contact addresses for the meme coin listed on CoinMarketCap, the platform that members of the crypto community utilize for checking prices, volume, and coin supply among other information.

The three addresses in question: BEP20, Solana, and Terra, appear to be faulty and should not be used.

The Twitter post warned “please be aware that CoinMarketCap has knowingly listed 3 fake contract addresses for SHIB. None of these 3 addresses (BEP20, Solana, or Terra) are valid SHIB address and unsafe to use.”

According to the tweet, CoinMarketCap refused to engage with the official Shiba Inu (SHIB) team about the contracts’ delisting, and they are accused of willingly allowing scammers to deface the token’s listing.

The Shiba Inu (SHIB) also stated that “CoinMarketCap has refused to communicate with the SHIB team on updates to the token page and willingly allowed malicious actors to vandalize our listing.”
