Binance Announces NFT Collaboration With Cristiano Ronaldo

The NFTs designed by Ronaldo himself will only be available on the NFT platform of Binance, the blog post shared.

On June 27ᵗʰ Binance announces a long-term collaboration with Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United’s star, on creating a special NFT collection series.

The Portuguese football player took to Twitter to share a video in which he announces the collaboration with Binance with excitement, he says that this is just the start of an amazing journey in which they will elevate the football and NFT game.

The NFTs designed by Ronaldo himself will only be available on the NFT platform of Binance, the blog post shared.

The exact date of launch was not announced along with the financial confines of the partnership, however, it was shared that it would be launched sometime later this year. Binance Pay may be used to purchase the NFTs by those in select countries.

Not clear yet are also the NFTs utility specifics. The football star’s project is set to offer “a one-of-a-kind experience for football lovers around the world, with a series of NFT collections launching exclusively on the official NFT platform of Binance,” the blog post noted.

Ronaldo’s name is not new to the crypto industry. Juventus Football Club launched a token in 2019 named $JUV which offered voting rights and rewards for their fans. At that time Ronaldo was playing for Juventus.

On the other hand, this is not the first collaboration Binance has with soccer players and teams either. FC Porto in Portugal, The Argentine Football Association, the Brazilian Football Confederation, and S.S. Lazio in Italy all are in partnership with Binance.
