Plans of AMC Entertainment to broaden the acceptance of crypto payments are underway; by next year the company will accept payments in Ethereum (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC).
By the end of 2022, Bitcoin (BTC) will not be the only cryptocurrency that AMC Entertainment will accept for payment. Plans for users to be able to pay for movie tickets with Ethereum (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC) will be finalized by the end of next year.
Adam Aron, CEO of AMC announced via Twitter that the company will be accepting payments with Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
AMC Entertainment will be finalizing the acceptance of Bitcoin (BTC) payments by the end of 2021. Back when the news was announced, Aron declared that across the US, customers were keenly awaiting news of crypto acceptance.
These developments however did not leave everyone satisfied due to the backlash Aron received by not including Dogecoin (DOGE) in the plans to accept crypto payments.
AMC’s has strongly rebounded only a year after the company seemed to be on the verge of bankruptcy, with the theater chain closing down locations due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
