13th Anniversary Of The Bitcoin Whitepaper

13th Anniversary Of The Bitcoin Whitepaper

Today marks the 13th anniversary since the whitepaper that changed the world was released.

The Bitcoin whitepaper was made public on the 31st of October, 2008, by the anonymous person with the pseudonym of Satoshi Nakamoto.

The whitepaper is still accessible by anyone, and it is titled, Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System.

And just as its title suggested, the founder of Bitcoin managed to create a peer-to-peer system that would ultimately change the way that financial services were completed.

With the aim of decentralizing money and making it much more secure as a result, banks, governments, and financial institutions were at risk from this document that proposed a change in the payment methods.

Decentralization meant that people would not need to rely on third parties to complete a payment, which meant that there was no need for additional fees to be paid for such services. Nodes around the world would ultimately secure the network, making Bitcoin the first successfully implemented cryptocurrency in the world.

With an initial price of $0.0008 when it was launched in January of 2009, BTC has increased by more than 7,700,000,000% so far throughout its history. It has recently reached an all-time high of $67,000 per BTC, making it the world’s most lucrative investment.

It has paved the road for other digital assets to come forth. Thousands of other cryptocurrencies are now purchasable, and this industry is not about to stop any time soon.

Whitepaper’s anniversary often has people from social media celebrate the event. Influencers, investors, traders, analysts, and all other crypto enthusiasts react to such events by interacting with crypto communities throughout the world.

To illustrate, Anthony Pompliano has announced that he is launching Bitcoin pizzas in around 100 locations, with all the proceeds going to BTC developers.

Billionaire investor Michael Saylor, one of Bitcoin’s most active supporters, has joined the celebrations with another of his poetic BTC appreciation lines.

Bitcoin’s success can also be noticed from the support that it has received from various governments. One relevant example could be El Salvador, which has recently made Bitcoin a legal tender.

Bitcoin is not stopping any time soon. China may have banned cryptocurrencies in various forms, but as suggested by the CEO of Tesla Elon Musk, cryptocurrencies can never be destroyed.
